Recycling Inkjet Cartridges

WOW is proud to introduce our Inkjet cartridge recycling scheme. Working to help recycle4charity raise money for good causes whilst reducing the damage being done to the environment.

How you can recycle inkjet cartridges
Please follow the Recycle4charity link on the right hand side of this page and order bags now. When your inkjet cartridges are empty, simply place them in one of our recycling envelopes and place them in a letter box. It’s as simple as that.

How we raise money
All Inkjets received are cleaned, flushed, vacuum filled, print tested, quality checked and then sold for up to 40% less at www.bcmy.co.uk. We receive £1 for every original inkjet received from the wanted list. Click here to check the wanted list. We receive 50p for every remanufactured inkjet received from the wanted list.

Who receives the money
Currently we donate all monies raised from this scheme to the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) to help provide immediate aid to those affected by disasters like the Indonesian Earthquake and Tsunami on December 26th 2004 and the Asian Earthquake in Muzaffarbad, Pakistan, on 8th October 2005.

Further details
Despite the massive cost of purchasing and the use of over 1.5 pints of oil used to make one cartridge; only an astonishing 15% of inkjet cartridges are ever recycled. The rest, an approximate 57 million inkjets, are buried in landfill sites every year. It is estimated that the cartridges on these landfill sites will take more than 1000 years to biodegrade.

With your help we can massively reduce the harm being done to the environment by ink cartridges by recycling them. The best thing about this is that buying recycled or refilled ink cartridges is cheaper than buying new ones – the more cartridges donated, the more there will be available at reduced prices.
